Hello

My name is Sean Tomkins and I was a student at Central Washington University majoring in Mechanical Engineering Technologies (MET) and minoring in Robotics and Automation. During my time at college I enjoyed participating in activities such as the Experience Leadership Program where I hiked in the Cascades creating new networks with fellow students before college started my freshman year. Before college I attended Steilacoom High-school where I played four years of youth football and while growing up my family has always had dogs more specifically pugs.

My Motivation

Back when I was in high school, I had the opportunity to attend a youth flight camp where we had a chance to help fly a small single prop plane and I have been flying aboard commercial jets since infancy. Ever since I have always been fascinated with the operations and mechanics of airplanes. I also hope to one day work in the aviation industry and help design planes. The JCATI project indirectly works with airplane parts and therefore caught my interest the most. It also works on the concept of sustainability through being able to recycle parts and resources that would normally be thrown away.
